25 horses have been nominated to run in the Group 3 Cockram Stakes at Caulfield Racecourse this Saturday August 13, 2011.

The 2011 Cockram Stakes will be run over a distance of 1,200 metres and run under set-weight plus penalty conditions.

Worth $125,000 in prize money, the Cockram Stakes 2011 is open to mares aged four-years-old and upwards only.

Michael Moroney’s Brazilian Pulse is one of the 25 horses nominated for the 2011 Cockram Stakes.

Brazilian Pulse, who won the Group 1 Crown Oaks at Flemington Racecourse last spring, will be hoping to repeat last year’s successes in the 2011 Cockram Stakes.

The Captain Rio mare has already won more than $1.1 million in prize money by winning five of her 10 race starts and has only missed out on a placing on one occasion.

Also included in the Cockram Stakes 2011 nominations is Greg Eurell’s Pinker Pinker, who won the Group 2 Angus Armanasco Stakes last preparation.

Pinker Pinker has won four of her 11 races starts and has won more than $360,000 in prize money.

The Reset mare will also be having her first-up run after having four months off over winter.

Michael Kent’s Absolutely, Peter Moody’s Do Ra Mi, Peter Snowden’s Parables and Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas’ Southern Speed are also featured in the 2011 Cockram Stakes nominations.
